JOB
Summary:
This role is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils and maintaining proper sanitation and safety standards.
This individual will also work alongside the rest of our culinary team to assist the cooks as needed in kitchen and serving areas.

EDUCATION/
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum eligibility requirements:
Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
Must understand and follow therapeutic diet orders for residents when serving food.
Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
Must meet all health requirements.
Must pass criminal background check.
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential Functions:
Prepare, wash and store dishes, pots and pans, kitchen equipment following Company and Health Department standards and procedures.
Perform kitchen cleaning duties including but not limited to dish washing area, floors, walls, equipment, storage areas, prep areas, outside receiving and dumpster areas.
Customer service:
Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner.
Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.
Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents' families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators).
Residents' rights:
Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rights.
Other:
Adheres to prescribed sanitation practices and procedures.
Performs similar or related duties as required or directed.
Follow company policies and procedures.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
