What will you be doing? Direct Care Staff are integral members of AMIkids White Pines operations team.
Reporting to Shift Supervisors you will ensure operational effectiveness by mentoring and safely supervising program youth, maintaining accurate and up-to-date shift documentation, and disclosing incident reports be to Shift Supervisors and Directors.
Your core responsibilities will be to: Ensure the safety and supervision of all youth in accordance with all operational requirements and state mandates, Balance mentorship and supervision serving as advisor and positive role model for program youth Provide guidance and coaching in behavior choices by teaching social, self-help, academic and living skills, Execute routine shift duties according to standard operating procedures such as documenting accurate shift logs for all shifts and conducting timely bed checks during overnight shifts, Participate in day and/or overnight trips and special activities that involve recreational sports which may require extended workdays or on-call status Who were looking for We aim to fill the Direct Care Staff role with dedicated and confident individuals enthusiastic about positively influencing the lives of youth in their community.

Direct Care Staff will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing crisis intervention and physical restraint training and certification as defined by state requirements and will also be required to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications by a nationally recognized organization.
Minimum Education, Skills and Experience for this role are: A high school diploma or GED, At least one-year experience within an educational or youth service program, preferably working or volunteering with troubled youth, Leadership acumen and problem-solving ability necessary for executing crisis intervention Must possess and maintain valid South Carolina state drivers license and have a driving record that meets the standards of the AMIkids Transportation Policy.
Direct Care Staff may be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsement.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
